Mel Chionglo, who brought us the underground hit Midnight Dancers, is at it again with a brand new feature, Burlesk King. This is a sizzling tale of sex, violence, jealousy, love and revenge. Harry, a young American-Filipino, comes to Manila to look for his father but ended up working as a macho dancer in a gay bar. Soon, Harry finds love with a teenage hooker, Brenda and they got married. However, Harry harbours a hatred within, he wants to learn enough about life to be able to avenge his mother's death by killing his father who also used to pimp him. But when he finally meets his father, a decrepit old man dying of AIDS, he makes a surprising and empowering decision.
